December already!

I am so sorry that I have not updated in the past (almost) two months! What a crazy two months it has been! Blogging is something I will have to get Julie to work on. Blogging every day is a struggle. Our business (thank the Lord!!!!) is booming and we barely have time to  BREATHE. We are so thankful for what we have been through these past two years and the success we are having currently. I just hope it continues throughout the new year! What are YOU thankful for this year? What is your new years resolution?

On a new note -- a lot of people have come in the store talking about restoration hardware. Those two words are like death on a platter to us! We would love to help you with anything you need. We have the same lines as pottery barn and restoration and can get mostly anything they can and FASTER. (Except for the aviator chair...I am still working on that). Do you really want the same furniture every one of your friends has?! I am worried on a personal note, that everyone buying everything at restoration and pottery, will walk into their friends house and see the exact same thing. Design is about personalization right? Please tell your friends. Buying local is important and the only way to help the economy. A lot of people are buying from China and we try our hardest to buy inside the states to help other people like us. Not only will you get faster lead times, but you will get better quality...SO SPREAD THE WORD! :)

Rainy Nashville

It's a rainy day here in Nashville, but we needed it. How can it possibly be 90 degrees here in October?! Maybe the rain will cool things off for a while.

We are getting new things in almost every day which is exciting. Today we got in a really pretty table that can be used almost anywhere. The price is right -- only $345 and you can mix it with almost any style.

Best of Nashville 2010

Congratulations to all who won for Best of Nashville 2010! To our surprise, we won #2 for Best Place to Buy Furniture and #3 for Best Antique Store! With that, we decided to start a blog to let you know what is going on and possibly answer any design questions you might have.

 Things are going well around here. We are getting new shipments in every day. The beautiful weather helps. We custom order anything you are looking for so please let us know!

 We realized today how thankful we are that we are still alive and thriving in the business world. 2008 and 2009 was slower, but we survived which is what matters!  We have such a talented team here in the store and added a couple more part timers to help. Everyone’s creative minds are really working here and it is showing.  The floor is looking better every day and the all-around attitude is very happy.

I cannot believe in August, we celebrated our seventh year in business. It feels like yesterday when we were getting the building ready for business – now, it is a place some people call home.
